Geronimo Trail Scenic Byway
Cuchillo, NM
The community of Cuchillo was established in the 1850s as a farming community. Its location mid-way between the railroad center at Engle and the mining camps of the Black Range made it an important stop-over on the stage line. The historic old bar that was the stage coach stop is still in business, and a unique place to visit. A few small businesses add to the local flavor of the community. The church is still used for special services and feast days.
