Geronimo Trail Scenic Byway
Bicycle/Pedestrian Facilities
Bicycle traffic is common along the byway. Due to the large distances between communities, pedestrian travel is rare, but there is sufficient room along the side of the pavement for pedestrians. Local bicyclists often take their bikes by car out to a section of the byway, leave the car safely parked along the side of the road and ride their bicycles for several miles and back to the car. There are bicycle endurance races held on NM-152 across the Black Range over Emory Pass on the byway. This road is also on the southern Bike Centennial route across the US, attracting bicyclists from all over the world.
