City of Rocks provides excellent hiking and rock climbing opportunities. Cyclists will also enjoy riding around the park and mountain bikers will be able to traverse some of the volcanic area.

As the City of Rocks is in a remote location, be aware of wild animals and insects inhabiting the area.

Best Time to Drive

March - May and September - November are the best times to visit Deming due to moderate temperatures.



Off Season

With year round enjoyable weather, no time is a bad time to visit New Mexico!
