  • Cave Spring (KY)

    Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this 1857 antebellum home with long driveway and brick pillar entrance was built by David Kirby. The home is located near a spring and a cave, and has a family burying plot in the backyard. The property also has a one-room schoolhouse and bird sanctuary trail.

  • Dismal Rock and Nolin Dam (KY)

    Dismal Rock which stands below Nolin Dam is an ancient landmark known by the Native Americans and the early Longhunters who first came into this area. There is a scenic overlook provided by the U.S. Corps of Engineers.

  • Duncan Hines Former Home and Office (KY)

    Though currently known as Hardy and Son Funeral Home, visitors are welcome to stop by and see the portion of the home that Duncan Hines once occupied. There is also a highway marker at this location with details on Duncan Hines.

  • Green River Baptising Center (KY)

    After you cross Beaver Dam Creek going south on Hwy 101, you will pass the Green River Association Baptising Center which is still used throughout the summer months by many of the congregations in the area for "cleansing one's soul." Across the creek behind the Baptising Center can be seen the Beaver Dam United Baptist Church which is one of the oldest remaining constitutions dating back to 1803.

  • Green River Ferry (KY)

    Traveling the Green River Ferry Road one mile down the road, one comes to the Green River which can only be crossed by ferry, which has been done for over 100 years. The ferry only holds 3 cars at a time. But be patient, it only takes a couple of minutes to cross.

  • Mammoth Cave (KY)

    With over 365 known miles of cave passageways, Mammoth Cave is the world's longest cave. Besides its spectacular size, Mammoth Cave has an almost surreal beauty.

  • National Corvette Museum (KY)

    Just off the scenic byway, witness over 70 Corvettes on display, from mint classics, to racetrack champs, to one-of-a-kind prototypes. Have lunch in the Corvette Café, shop in their gift shop and even register to drive a Corvette home!

  • Rocky Hill Station (KY)

    Before the 1930s Rocky Hill was a coal drop-off for the Louisville and Nashville railroad. The former depot still stands.

  • Samuel Murrell House (KY)

    The Samuel Murrell house built in 1841. This house served as a stagecoach stop until the L&N Railroad was complete in 1859. Notice the structure to the right of the house.

  • Smiths Grove Antique District (KY)

    Enjoy an adventure antiquing in historic Smiths Grove where several shops are within walking distance.
