Special Considerations

  • Cinders: This train is coal-fired and cinders are prevalent. Passengers will be responsible for their own protection. It is suggested that passengers do not wear light colored clothing.
  • Boarding times for all trains are specified and rigidly followed. Tickets will not be honored if ticket holders are not seated on train by final boarding times. Please board on time.
  • Reservations are made by car number and seat number. Note: Tickets are not transferable from person to person at Silverton or Durango. Tickets are not replaceable if lost, misplaced, or stolen.
  • Children 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Passengers may take two average size suitcases or handbags, or in lieu thereof, one back pack and one bedroll, or one rolled and secured sleeping bag. A box car is provided for transporting these items.

Restrictions

  • Pets cannot be carried on the train.
  • Baggage checking service is not available.
  • Smoking is not allowed in the Parlor Car.
