Rocky Mountain National Park showcases the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains. With over 346 miles of trails that visitors may use to go hiking, there are many recreational opportunities within the park. Wildlife and wildflowers are in abundance in this wild area. Wildlife such as elk, mule, deer, big horn sheep, moose, coyotes, and a great number of smaller animals can be seen in the park. The park sits at between 8,000 to over 14,000 feet, and visitors will be amazed at the many towering peaks around them. The Trail Ridge Road crosses the Continental Divide, as well as many high peaks. The highest point on the road is 12,183 feet. For solitude and a breath of pure fresh mountain air, Rocky Mountain State Park is the place to be.
