Places to Visit

  • Arapaho-Roosevelt National Forest (CO)

    The forests encompass 1.5 million acres and extends north to the Wyoming border, south of I-70 to Mount Evans, and west across the Continental divide to the Williams Fork area.

    Located in northcentral Colorado.

  • Continental Divide National Scenic Trail (CO)

    The entire Continental Divide National Scenic Trail corridor is approximately 3,100 miles (4,988 kilometers) long, extending from the Canadian border in Montana to the border of Mexico in New Mexico.

    Directions:

    The Continental Divide is just west of the byway, accessible through Rocky Mountain National Park or Arapaho National Forest.

  • Eldora Mountain Ski Resort (CO)

    Eldora Mountain Ski Resort sits just three miles west of Nederland. It accumulates over 300 inches of snow each year, and stretches across nearly 700 acres of snow-packed terrain.

    Travel time: 5 minutes
    Directions:

    From CO-72 (the byway) in Nederland, go south until you reach the junction with CO-119. Take CO-119 west for a couple miles until you reach the resort.

  • Rocky Mountain National Park (CO)

    The park encloses 265,828 acres in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Elevations range from 8,000 feet to 14,259 feet. Visitors are able to enjoy breathtaking views and embark on new adventures.
