  • Continental Divide National Scenic Trail (CO)

    The entire Continental Divide National Scenic Trail corridor is approximately 3,100 miles (4,988 kilometers) long, extending from the Canadian border in Montana to the border of Mexico in New Mexico.

    Location:

    The Continental Divide National Scenic Trail passes through the center of Colorado.

  • Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, and Gunnison National Forests

    The Forests include spectacular features like Bridal Veil Falls, Grand Mesa, and Alpine Tunnel.

    Location:

    On the western slope of the Colorado Rockies.

  • Lake San Cristobal

    Lake San Cristobal (CO)

    The Slumgullion Earthflow created this lake, the second largest natural lake in Colorado.

  • Rio Grande National Forest (CO)

    The Forest altitude ranges from 7600-foot alpine desert to over 14,300-feet in the majestic Sangre de Cristo Wilderness. It embraces the San Luis Valley, the largest agricultural alpine valley in the world. It is also the headwaters of the Rio Grande.
