  • Annunciation Church

    Annunciation Church (CO)

    Started in 1879, this historic church was dedicated on New Year's Day, 1880. The steeple houses an enormous bell that weighs over 3,000 pounds.

    Located in downtown Leadville on the southwest corner of Poplar and East 7th.

  • Arapaho-Roosevelt National Forest (CO)

    The forests encompass 1.5 million acres and extends north to the Wyoming border, south of I-70 to Mount Evans, and west across the Continental divide to the Williams Fork area.

    Location:

    Located in northcentral Colorado.

  • Avon (CO)

    Avon is a small town in Colorado near the base of the Beaver Creek Ski Area.

    Location:

    Located about five miles northwest of Minturn, Colorado.

  • Balltown (CO)

    Balltown is a small community in Colorado, south of Leadville.

    Location:

    Located near the junction of CO-82 and CO-24, about 5 miles east of Twin Lakes.

  • Braille and Discovery Trails (CO)

    The Braille Trail, built in 1961, was the first trail developed specifically for the blind visitor. The trail winds through dense forest crossing a mountain stream providing information about the local ecosystem and geological formations in the area. Visitors are encouraged to experience the ecosystem through touch, sound, smell, and even taste. The Discovery Trail, developed in 2000, provides a similar experience to disabled visitors.

    The Braille and Discovery Trails are located at Mile Marker 54 on SR-82.

  • Breckenridge (CO)

    Breckenridge is an old Victorian community nestled in the Colorado Rockies, famous for its year round resorts and vast selection of outdoor recreation.

    Located about 5 miles southeast of Copper Mountain.

  • Camp Hale Memorial

    Camp Hale Memorial (CO)

    This historical interpretive site tells the story of the WWII Tenth Mountain Division who trained here.

  • Continental Divide National Scenic Trail (CO)

    The entire Continental Divide National Scenic Trail corridor is approximately 3,100 miles (4,988 kilometers) long, extending from the Canadian border in Montana to the border of Mexico in New Mexico.

    You can access the trail north of Leadville near the Tennessee Pass.
