Wickliffe Mounds State Park, KY

Wickliffe Mounds is the archaeological site of a prehistoric Mississippian mound builders. On a bluff overlooking the confluence of Mississippi and Ohio rivers, the museum consists of 3 excavated mounds, displays of artifacts from the site, and a mural of a Mississippian village. It educates the visitor as to the history of the Mississippi River as a Native American corridor for trade and cultural exchange. This site is on the National Register of Historic Places.
