Garnet Back Country Byway
Visitor Services
In Garnet Ghost Town, two cabins are available for rent. Rate information is available from BLM's Garnet Resource Area Office in Missoula (phone: 406-329-3914).
The Dahl Cabin was once a speakeasy. This large structure sleeps eight and is fully equipped right down to the potato peeler. The cozy Wills Cabin is also fully equipped and sleeps up to four good friends. All proceeds from cabin rentals go directly toward continued preservation of Garnet Ghost Town.
Emergency shelters (cabins or a three-sided Adirondack-style shelter) are located on the Garnet Range Road (the designated Byway route), Union Peak, Keno Creek and Elevation Mountain. Please help keep these structures clean and supplied with wood.
Camping, fireworks, and firearms are not allowed near Garnet to protect the natural and historical setting.
Please leash pets and carry all litter out with you.
