Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area (OR)
The Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area - 40 miles of coast stretching south from Florence to Coos Bay is a collage of special places. Majestic sand dunes hundreds of feet high, with sand-swept timelessness, are overlaid by meandering rivers, fertile wetlands, secretive tree islands and moist forests. The ocean borders the collage with her thundering peacefulness. The open sand area provide some of the most spectacular places on the dunes.
