Special Considerations

  • Since the dredge stands in a pond, watch your children carefully.
  • There is a small interpretive center and gift shop to the side of the dredge.
  • You can hike the Dredge Loop Trail for 4 miles around the machine and its tailings.

Restrictions

It's very important that you don't smoke here. The dredge could go down very easily with one spark. Also, most of the machine is very rusty, so for your safety, don't touch anything.
