  • Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest (GA)

  • Nantahala National Forest

  • Caesars Head State Park

    Caesars Head State Park (SC)

    Caesars Head is popular with outdoor adventurers for its beautiful vistas, excellent hiking trails, and impressive waterfalls. Raven Cliff Falls is one of the highest waterfalls in the eastern United States.

  • Campbell's Covered Bridge Historic Park

    Campbell's Covered Bridge Historic Park (SC)

    Campbell's Covered Bridge, built in 1909, is South Carolina's only remaining covered bridge.

  • Cowpens National Battlefield (SC)

    Site of 1781 battle in which the American Patriots overwhelmed the British at the Battle of Cowpens. A visitor center offers memorabilia, art work, and a video presentation.

  • Issaqueena Falls (SC)

    The 100-foot waterfall is a majestic point of scenery in the area. There is a trail which goes underneath the fall, but it is slippery and narrow. Another trail leads to the bottom of the falls.

    The Issaqueena Falls are located within the Stumphouse Tunnel Park. To get there, take US 123 to SC 28. Go past Walhalla to Stumphouse Park which will be on the right.

  • Keowee-Toxaway State Park

    Keowee-Toxaway State Park (SC)

    The park covers 1,000 acres and features outstanding rock features, beautiful views, and opportunities for outdoor recreation.

    Keowee-Toxaway State Park is 15 miles northwest of Pickens at the intersection of SC 133 and SC 11 at Lake Keowee.

  • King's Mountain National Military Park (SC)

    King's Mountain National Military Park marks the site where colonial Patriots crushed Loyalist troops in 1780. Today the site features a visitor center and walking trail.

    King's Mountain National Military Park is located on South Carolina Highway 216. From Greencille, SC travel on I-85 North to NC Exit #2. From Charlotte, NC travel on I-85 South to NC Exit #2.

  • Oconee State Park (SC)

    Oconee State Park is a popular site for outdoor recreation. Several waterfalls, as well as hunting and fishing areas are in the area.

    From Greenville, take US 123 south to US 76 West. Go west on SC28, then north on SC 107.

  • Paris Mountain State Park (SC)

    Once the watershed for Greenville, Paris Mountain is now one of the oldest protected areas in the state. The 1275-acre park has abundant large trees, lake swimming, hiking and picnic areas.
