The towns of Dayton and Lovell, both full-service communities, are located near either end of the byway.

	Fees Some fees are required for use of Forest Service campgrounds.		Bicycle/Pedestrian Facilities Numerous hiking trails are located along the byway. However, there are no bicycle lanes or casual pedestrian facilities. All of the sites of particular interest are handicap accessible.

Special Considerations

The western end of the byway is a steep highway grade. GRADES EXCEED 10%. This may not be the best choice for those pulling trailers or driving an RV. Take the proper precautions to maintain safety while driving.

Restrictions

The Byway is closed in the winter due to an intimidating highway grade climbing its west edge.
