All visitor/welcome centers are handicapped accessible. Most Nature/Interpretive Centers are also handicapped accessible and many trails and overlooks are handicapped accessible.

Special Considerations

To accommodate international, non-English-speaking visitors, the byway website is translated into multiple languages. Byway Welcome Centers also have on-staff certified travel counselors to assist with inquiries, and have available for rent “talking” pocket dictionaries that translate into 12 languages.

Restrictions

Occasionally, winter weather may cause a slower rate of travel. The gravel roads on some of the excursion loops may also become somewhat degraded during high rainfall periods.
