R.D. Hubbard House, MN
Built in 1871, this French Second Empire mansion is one of the finest homes built in Mankato during the 19th Century. It has been restored to its 1905 appearance and showcases carved woodwork, three marble fireplaces, Tiffany and Quetzal lights and silk wall coverings. The Carriage House is home to numerous horse drawn carriages and mechanical vehicles, including a stage coach from the 1870s and a restored 1916 fire engine.
The landscaped grounds include the award winning Palmer Centennial Gardens. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is open for walk in visitors during the summer.
