Big Stone Lake, MN
Big Stone Lake is well known for its walleye. Big Stone Lake is stocked with seven million walleye fry every other year. The best spot for walleye is the northern end of the lake, early in the season. The lake is the site of Little Lindy Joe/Zercom Marine MWC Ortonville Walleye Tourney.
The lake contains more than 30 other species of fish including northern pike, largemouth bass, bluegill, black crappie, white crappie, bullhead, channel catfish and perch. Anglers can choose from 12 public accesses and a handicapped accessible pier at the public access in Ortonville. A Minnesota fishing license allows you to fish anywhere on or around Big Stone Lake.
