Driving the Byway

The Dude Ranch Trail follows a 40-mile loop beginning and ending in Lake George. From Lake George, follow Highway 9 north until the junction of State Road 418. Turn left onto State Road 418 and continue until you reach the village of Stony Creek.

In Stony Creek, follow County Road 1 south until you reach the community of Hadley and County Road 4. Turn left onto County Road 4 and continue across the Hudson River. Turn left onto Main Street in Lake Luzerne, then right onto Mill Street. Turn left onto Route 9N and continue until you return to Lake George.
