  • Boulder Cave Nature Trail

    Boulder Cave Nature Trail (WA)

    This is a kids' special. Bring a lunch, a flashlight and the patience to answer a lot of questions as you lead the youngsters into Boulder Cave, a natural stone tunnel nearly 200 feet long.

    Directions:

    At Cliffdell, on SR 410, turn north on Forest Service Road 1706. In a short distance, turn right, following signs to Boulder Cave.

  • Edgar Rock Historic CCC Camp (WA)

    A historic CCC camp that has evolved over the years to become a ranger station and tourist attraction.

    The camp is located just outside of Mt. Rainier National Park on the east.

  • Federation Forest State Park

    Federation Forest State Park (WA)

    The remnants of history await visitors of this old growth forest. The facility offers visitors a geological tour of the White River and a live exhibit of plant and animal life in seven different ecosystems.

  • Gifford Pinchot National Forest

    Gifford Pinchot National Forest (WA)

    This national forest offers great recreational opportunities.

    Location:

    Primary access to the forest is at the intersection of Highway 12 with SR 131 in the community of Randle.

  • Mount Rainier National Park

    Mount Rainier National Park (WA)

    Mount Rainier National Park is a first-tier destination for domestic and international travelers. The park offers endless sightseeing and hiking opportunities from old-growth forest to sub-alpine meadows and glaciated peaks. Mount Rainier is a world-famous climbing destination. Besides Mount Rainier itself, the park includes many smaller mountains to explore, glacier-fed rivers, and diverse wildlife. In winter the park is popular for back-country skiing and snowshoeing.

    11.4 miles east of Greenwater at the intersection with Buck Creek Road #7160, turn right, the trail is right after the White River Bridge.
