Boulder Cave Nature Trail (WA)
This is a kids' special. Bring a lunch, a flashlight and the patience to answer a lot of questions as you lead the youngsters into Boulder Cave, a natural stone tunnel nearly 200 feet long.
Distance from byway: On the byway Directions: At Cliffdell, on SR 410, turn north on Forest Service Road 1706. In a short distance, turn right, following signs to Boulder Cave.

Edgar Rock Historic CCC Camp (WA)
A historic CCC camp that has evolved over the years to become a ranger station and tourist attraction.
Distance from byway: On the byway Directions: The camp is located just outside of Mt. Rainier National Park on the east.

Federation Forest State Park (WA)
The remnants of history await visitors of this old growth forest. The facility offers visitors a geological tour of the White River and a live exhibit of plant and animal life in seven different ecosystems.
Distance from byway: On the byway Directions: Eighteen miles southeast of Enumclaw on SR 410.

Gifford Pinchot National Forest (WA)
This national forest offers great recreational opportunities.
Location: Primary access to the forest is at the intersection of Highway 12 with SR 131 in the community of Randle.

Mount Rainier National Park (WA)
Mount Rainier National Park is a first-tier destination for domestic and international travelers. The park offers endless sightseeing and hiking opportunities from old-growth forest to sub-alpine meadows and glaciated peaks. Mount Rainier is a world-famous climbing destination. Besides Mount Rainier itself, the park includes many smaller mountains to explore, glacier-fed rivers, and diverse wildlife. In winter the park is popular for back-country skiing and snowshoeing.
Distance from byway: On the byway Directions: Starting at Chinook Pass and continuing for nearly 10 miles, SR 410 travels through the Mount Rainier National Park.

The forest's picturesque settings range from glacier-cut valleys to the rugged, ice-capped mountains of the North Cascades.
Distance from byway: On the byway Directions: Nearly the entire length of SR 410 travels through the national forest.

Norse Peak Wilderness Area (WA)
Norse Peak Wilderness Area is always an exciting place to spend time with friends and nature.
Distance from byway: On the byway Directions: From Enumclaw, drive 33 miles east on state Route 410 to Crystal Mountain Road (Forest Service Road 7166).

The Skookum Flats Trails is surrounded by trees and sparkling rivers spanned by suspension bridges.
Distance from byway: On the byway Directions: 11.4 miles east of Greenwater at the intersection with Buck Creek Road #7160, turn right, the trail is right after the White River Bridge.

Tipsoo Lakes/Naches Peak Loop (WA)
Tipsoo Lake/Naches Peak Loop Trail is a paved trail running around Tipsoo Lake providing stunning, reflective views of Mt. Rainier.
