Visitor Services

A map of the park can be obtained at any of the park's visitor centers. Picnic areas, viewpoints, and hiking trails are located at Sunrise, which is 16 miles off SR 410 (the sole access road).

White River Ranger Station has backcountry trails, trip information, and climbing permits. Chinook Pass also has viewpoints and trails.

Camping Camping
More than 100 campsites (RV/tent) are located at White River Ranger Station and Campground. It is located two miles off SR 410 and has seasonal openings.
Food Food
Food is available at Sunrise.
Information Information
Visitor centers are located at Longmire, Paradise, Ohanapecosh, and Sunrise. Park rangers and exhibits are located at each visitor center. Sunrise Visitor Center is open seasonally.
Lodging Lodging
Overnight rooms are available at the Paradise Inn in Paradise during the summer only. The National Park Inn at Longmire is the only lodging that is open all year in the park.

Restrictions

Park roads are subject to closure during the winter. Carry tire chains in your vehicle and exercise caution during this season.
