Mountains to Sound Greenway - I-90
Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park, WA
At 3,115 acres, this is one of the largest wild parks in urban America. Connected to Squak Mountain State Park by the Cougar-Squak Corridor, together these parks create a protected area of public land of approximately 5,000 acres. Hiking and horseback riding are excellent on the network of trails which go through wetland and forest terrain. Special features in this park include the still-visible 19th-century coal mine shafts and concrete foundations.
