Stevens Pass Greenway
Ohme Gardens, WA
Over 60 years of work by the Ohme family has transformed this once-barren hill into one of America's leading gardens. High on a rock bluff, its sweeping vistas include the Wenatchee Valley, Columbia River, and Cascade Mountains. Travelers from around the world visit these nine magnificent acres.
Patterned after high mountain country, the gardens do not depend on floral displays, but rather stone pathways that wander from one level to another, irregularly shaped lawns, blue-green ponds, rustic shelters, and a wishing well.
