Stevens Pass Greenway
Iron Goat Trail, WA
Iron Goat Trail is a wonderful way to bring history to life. It's a journey back in time to when steam locomotives trolled through the mountains. The trail follows the abandoned Great Northern Railway grade through remnants of tunnels, trestles, and labor camps. Over six miles of trail running through cool forests of ferns, alders, and evergreens is open to the public, while volunteers are working to construct another one and a half miles of trail to the Wellington townsite.
