Bald Eagle Viewing Spot, WA

These regal birds are drawn to the Whatcom area by spawning salmon each year. Up to 600 magnificent bald eagles come to Whatcom for a bite to eat before moving farther south. It's a thrill to see a single eagle winging past; imagine the wonder of viewing a tree full of the majestic birds. Mosquito Lake Road is one of the best places to see the bald eagles. Eagles should be visible perching in the trees lining the banks and catching salmon in the river below.
