This beautiful, 500-acre park surrounds Wirth Lake, which offers a swimming beach as well as a boat launch. The Theodore Wirth Park preserves nature in an enjoyable way in the middle of Minneapolis. The park features various habitats including the Quaking Bog, where wetland creatures and carnivorous plants make themselves at home. Visitors will find an archery range, a playground, and tennis courts. The Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden is also in the vicinity of Wirth Park. This grand display of wildflowers is a peaceful place to enjoy nature.
