Mandalay National Wildlife Refuge, LA

The 4,416-acre refuge is composed of freshwater marsh, cypress-tupelo swamp, levees, and man-made canals. The refuge provides excellent habitat for waterfowl, wading birds, raptors, and neotropical songbirds. There are many recreational opportunities, including bird watching, wildlife observation, boating, photography, fishing, and hunting during designated seasons.
