Dutch settlers came here in the early 19th century, and visitors who come today can experience the heritage of the past in the festivals and sites around Fulton. Unique because of its authentic Dutch windmill, Fulton is a worthwhile byway stop. There are many nearby attractions as well. A mid-1800 settlement has been recreated in Heritage Canyon for travelers to explore.
Visitors will also find this community a perfect place for enjoying the outdoor splendor of the Mississippi River. With Lock and Dam 13 and a Bald Eagle Nursery, visitors can enjoy life along the river. Visitors will also find the Great River Bike Path in Fulton. This path is a paved trail along the Mississippi that actually goes from Albany to Savanna.
