Chesapeake Country Scenic Byway
Church Hill, MD

This quiet little town had as many as six churches in the town at one time, but the name is most likely derived from St. Luke's which sits on top of the hill at the foot of Walnut Street. St. Luke's was built at a cost of 140,000 lbs. of tobacco and is the oldest brick church in the state with its original structure.
