  • Cumberland

    Cumberland (MD)

    The site of Mile 0 (the origin point) of the National Road is located in Cumberland near George Washington's headquarters in Riverside Park. Cumberland was chosen by Congress in 1806 as a natural starting point for the National Road for several reasons.
