Great River Road
Prescott, WI

The Great River Road enters Wisconsin and the historic City of Prescott via a unique lift bridge at the confluence of the St. Croix (National Scenic River) and the Mississippi River.

During the 1800's, Lumberjacks traveled to northern Wisconsin in the winter to work at logging camps. Prescott was a main stop for provisions. Prescott became a main steamboat port on the Mississippi.
