Great River Road
Wyalusing, WI
This small community, the southern gateway to Wyalusing State Park, is only a remnant of its past. It was once a bustling community, but the effects of progress subdued this little town into the quiet place it is today. In 1856, Wyalusing was platted next to the river to become a prosperous little river town, but when the railroad came through, it took down the freight warehouse. Wyalusing lost its prominence and is now a scenic town on the Great River Road.
