Rankin House, OH
Rankin was a leader in the abolitionist movement in Ohio and one of the first and most active "conductors" of the underground railroad. His one-and-a-half-story brick house is said to have sheltered 2,000 slaves during the period from 1825-64. The house, including a selection of Rankin's furnishings and personal items, is on display.
