Special Considerations

Directions

  • Traveling westbound on I-64, take Exit 105 (Corydon-Palmyra, SR 135). Continue on 135 south to SR 62 west 10 miles.
  • Traveling eastbound on I-64, take Exit 92 (Leavenworth, SR 66). Continue on 66 south to SR 62 east five miles.

Cave temperature is 52 degrees, and visitors may wish to bring along sweaters or light jackets. Visitors should have comfortable, sturdy footwear for hiking cave paths and climbing stairs.

The cave environment is fragile, and visitors are asked not to touch formations or disturb cave life. Flash photography is permitted within the caves, but tripods are not allowed. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent or adult chaperon on all tours. visitors taking spelunking tours will be provided electric lanterns. Carbide lights are not permitted in the caves.
