Zilpo Road has over 100 miles of trails at various stops along the way, not including the 260-mile Sheltowee Trace Trail that crosses the byway at Iron Furnace Picnic Site. Hiking and mountain bike trails can be found at Natural Arch, Cave Run Lake, Clear Creek Lake, Iron Furnace Picnic Site, and Tater Knob Fire Tower, among other spots. The trails around Clear Creek and Cave Run are especially popular for mountain bikers.
