Special Considerations

The parking lot at Mariposa Grove, located near the south entrance of the park, is very small and fills up quickly, especially in the summer. Rangers recommend parking at the store in Wawona and taking the free shuttle bus to the grove. The bus leaves every 20-30 minutes from the store, although visitors should check ahead for specific operating hours. The buses typically operate from May until October.
