This Scenic Highway begins on the outskirts of Bishop in the Owens Valley. Owens Valley, at 4,000 feet in elevation, is a high plains landscape replete with glorious fall colors, gorgeous spring wild-flowers and year-round fishing in the Owens River. It climbs through pinyon-juniper woodlands, up into the Inyo National Forest.
