Cachuma Lake Recreation Area, CA

The Cachuma Lake Recreation Area is a year-round camping and day use facility, offering excellent fishing, boating, tent and RV camping, picnicking, horseback riding, bicycle rentals, guided lake cruises, a variety of seasonal naturalist programs, and a nature center. Water skiing, swimming, and wading are prohibited, as the lake is the major drinking source for Santa Barbara County.

The lake is stocked with trout from September through March. Rental boats, motors, fuel, California fishing licenses, bait, and fishing tackle are available at the marina. Other services include a snack bar, general store, gasoline, showers, laundromat, swimming pool, and a family fun center.
