Places to Visit

  • Allegheny National Forest (PA)

    Since the Forest Service began to manage the Allegheny National Forest (ANF) in 1923, a vibrant new forest of light-loving hardwoods like black cherry flourished, and today the ANF boasts some of the world's finest hardwood forests.

  • Dewdrop Campground (PA)

    This campground has paved roads, flushing toilets, showers, electric lights, and water front camp sites. Dewdrop was constructed in 1969 and is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

    Located on the west side of the byway.

  • Elijah Run Campground (PA)

    This location features a boat launch, courtesy dock, fishing pier, and toilets.

  • Kiasutha Campground (PA)

    The campground has paved roads, flushing toilets, showers, pressurized water, electric lights, a play area, and camp sites that are right on the water. Kiasutha was constructed in 1965 and is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

    Location:

    Kiasutha Campground is located on the southern end of the byway.

  • Red Bridge Campground (PA)

    This campsite features proximity to several natural attractions, including bike trails and a nearby stream.
