Journey Through Hallowed Ground Byway
Shriver House Museum, PA
The Shriver House Museum focuses on the experience of the civilian population during the Civil War, particularly on the Battle of Gettysburg. The story of the Shriver family and the Shriver house during the war and the battle is interpreted through a guided tour with a guide in period costume. The house, built in 1860, which also served as a taproom and bowling alley, has been fully restored by a private foundation.
