  • The Dauphin Island Welcome Center, located on Daupin Island, is open 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Saturday, and offers visitor information.
  • The Alabama Gulf Coast CVB Welcome Center, located on Orange Beach, is open seven days a week from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and offers internet access and visitor information.
  • The South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, is located in Foley and offers visitor information.
  • The Foley CVB, located in Foley, offers visitor information and is open 9:00 am to 5:00, Monday through Friday.
  • The Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce in Fairhope is open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and seven days a week with seasonal hours in the Daphne location. Both have visitor information.

Camping and Amenities

  • Gulf State Park offers modern and primitive camping, cottages, tennis, group pavilions, 18-hole golf course, nature programs and picnic areas.
  • Orange Beach’s Waterfront Park is located on beautiful Wolf Bay, and includes a fishing pier, picnic shelters with grills, paved walking paths, and a lighted kids’ park.

Special Considerations

The Mobile Bay Ferry is a service offered for a fee during regularly posted daytime hours, which vary by season. Vehicles 30 feet or longer should call ahead for loading guidance due to seasonal tide changes. The Foley Beach Express portion of the route includes a bridge with a per-axle toll.

Restrictions

The route includes crossing Mobile Bay via the Mobile Bay Ferry, a service offered for a fee during regularly posted daytime hours. Vehicles 30 feet or longer are asked to call ahead for specific loading instructions to avoid delays. Schedule and fees are posted at mobilebayferry.com.
