Bicycle/Pedestrian Facilities

The Alabama Department of Transportation supports the accommodation of bicycle and pedestrian travel along any paved state highway, which makes U.S. 80 eligible. Cyclists and pedestrians are encouraged to use the paved shoulders, available along most of U.S. 80, for these methods of travel. Bicycle lanes have been proposed for the segment between Selma and Montgomery.
