Special Considerations
There are no special considerations beyond the usual traffic safety concerns; travelers should be aware that this byway is a two-way road on Hwy 28 and that it is subject to winter cautionary warnings.

There are occasional brief closures during snowstorms.

Gorgeous anytime--depends on your preference (snow-covered peaks or the green of summer.)
- High Season
Busiest months (in descending order) are August, July and September, although the busiest week of the year is the week between Christmas and New Year's.
- Winter
Winter is an excellent time to come for anyone who enjoys winter activities such as skiing and skating.
