The Kancamagus Highway stretches along SR-112 from Lincoln in the west to the town of Conway in the east. Beginning at the western end and traveling east, stop and enjoy the following points along the way in addition to the scenery.
Day 1

Start: Lincoln
Attitash Bear Peak, NH's largest ski resort, is two mountains of fantastic snow skiing. There is plenty to do at the resort in the off-season: guided horseback rides, golfing, children's swimming pools, and a host of events and activities.

Stop 1: Lincoln Visitor Information Center
From previous stop: same location The first point on your itinerary, Lincoln Visitor Information Center contains materials and tips for enjoying your trip on the byway.

Stop 2: Clark's Trading Post
From previous stop: 3 minutes / 1.8 mi (2.9 km) Directions: From Lincoln, take SR-112 southwest for 0.8 miles. Turn right onto US-3 [Daniel Webster Hwy] and drive for 1.0 mile until you arrive at the post.
Suggested time at this stop: 2 hours One of the White Mountains' most outstanding attractions: the Clark family has personally entertained their summer visitors for over 70 years. Features include a fire station, steam locomotive, trained North American black bears, and a museum.

Stop 3: Loon Mountain Ski Resort
From previous stop: 6 minutes / 4.4 mi (7.0 km) Directions: Leaving Clark's Trading Post, take US-3 south for 1 mile. Turn left onto SR-112 and drive for 3.4 miles until you arrive at the resort.
Suggested time at this stop: 5 hours Spend the bulk of your first day at Loon Mountain, a recreational area and ski resort.

Day 2

Stop 1: Falls Pond and Rocky Gorge
From previous stop: 25 minutes / 15 mi (24.0 km) Directions: Leaving the resort, take the byway east for about 15 miles, then turn left to Rocky Gorge.
Suggested time at this stop: 1 hour Over time the Swift River wore this narrow gorge through solid rock. This region offers photogenic views of the surrounding area.

Stop 2: Lower Falls and Boulder Loop Trail
From previous stop: 8 minutes / 5 mi (8.0 km) Directions: From Rocky Gorge, follow the byway east for about 5 miles until you come to Lower Falls.
Suggested time at this stop: 2 hours Located a mile east of Falls Pond and Rocky Gorge, Lower Falls and Boulder Loop Trail offer a great hike with beautiful views.

End: Conway
From previous stop: 10 minutes / 6 mi (9.6 km) Directions: Leaving Lower Falls, take the byway east for about 5 miles. When you come to the junction with SR-113 where the byway ends, turn left and drive for about 1 mile to reach Conway.
