Special Considerations

Jackets are recommended for the evening lighting ceremonies, as evenings can be cool. Even in the winter the floodlights illuminate the faces for two hours each evening. Highway 244, leading to the memorial, is well maintained year-round, assuring safe driving conditions for visitors in all four seasons.
