If you are traveling the Peter Norbeck Scenic Byway during the summer, consider stopping at the Black Hills Playhouse.

Established as a camp for the CCC in the 1930s, this playhouse is now a popular entertainment stop. The camp was converted to a playhouse in 1940 by drama professor, Doc Lee. Ever since, the playhouse has developed and grown against the backdrop of the Black Hills.
