Trenton’s 1792 Capitol building, with its restored gold dome and combination gas/electric lights, is the second-oldest capitol in continuous use in the US. Admire the historic rotunda space inside, and learn about the capitol’s evolution from a rubble-stone structure built in 1792 to the grand architectural monument it is today. The Assembly Chamber, Senate Chamber, Senate Conference Room, and State House are all worth a peek.
