Bicycle/Pedestrian Facilities

Bicycle travel is allowed on all roadways. Bike lanes are provided on US 441, and the Gainesville-Hawthorne multi-use trail can be used by bicyclists and pedestrians. Pedestrian travel is accommodated with sidewalks and crosswalks in Micanopy and other locations of intrinsic quality features. Natural dirt hiking trails are also available at the Paynes Prairie State Preserve.
