Dinosaur Diamond Prehistoric Highway
Green River, UT

Green River is located on the banks of the Green River shortly after it emerges from the Book Cliffs into desert country. Green River has a variety of attractions. It is the put-in point for flat-water river trips down the Green through Labyrinth Canyon and the take-out point for many trips down the Green through Desolation and Gray Canyons. Green River State Park allows visitors a stay in green trees and grass as they journey across eastern Utah deserts. And the John Wesley Powell River History Museum is a modern showcase of artifacts and information about J.W. Powell's exploratory expeditions down the Green and Colorado Rivers shortly after the American Civil War. Here visitors can also get a historic overview of river exploration in the west and the pioneers who made it possible.
