A WV Wildlife Management Area with fishing. Anglers can find a wide range of species here from muskellunge to bass to blue gills (and many more). Anglers are advised to check the regulations before keeping any fish since some species are protected.
Location: Off U.S. Route 40 near Valley Grove, 13 miles east of Wheeling and two miles from the Dallas Pike Interchange of I-70

B&O Railroad Passenger Station (WV)
The Beaux-Arts-style station was constructed in 1908 and saw passengers until June 1961. Come see this historic site. Many old train cars still exist.

The Capitol Music Hall is home to Jamboree U.S.A. and the Wheeling Symphony. Started in 1933, the lively events, typically held on Saturday nights, have become a popular tradition to the citizens as well as visitors.

Centre Market Historic District (WV)
The two market houses are the focal point of the district. One designed in 1853 and the second in 1890. The district also includes Towngate theatre, businesses surrounding the market houses, and residential structures.

Downtown Wheeling Historic District (WV)
Comprising the downtown commercial area, the district features storefronts and office buildings, including the city's first skyscraper, the 1905 Schmulbach building which houses Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. Also included are many churches.

This Victorian Era home is open for public guided tours. It is located in the North Wheeling Historic District.

Elm Grove Stone Arch Bridge (WV)
The oldest extant bridge in the state was constructed by Moses Shepherd in 1817. The bridge was sprayed with gunnite in 1958 to help preserve and strengthen it.

Highland Park Historic District (WV)
The street car extension to Elm Grove encouraged moving to new areas in the late 1800’s. The homes, built by local architects, reflect the Shingle, Colonial Revivial, Prairie, Tudor Revival, and Bungalow styles of Architecture.

Kruger Street Toy and Train Museum (WV)
This is the site of the annual Marx Toy Convention. Located within a Victorian Schoolhouse, this museum offers individual, group, and bus tours. Come see their impressive collection of trains as well as antique toys.
